Sewer Replacement Upgrade Phase 4 – Construction Beginning September 8

The Town of Tignish would like to advise residents and businesses that construction on Sewer Replacement Upgrade Phase 4 will begin on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, along Church Street.

This important infrastructure project will replace a section of the Town’s aging sanitary sewer system with new infrastructure, helping to improve the reliability and long-term performance of the Town’s wastewater collection system.

Residents, businesses and motorists in the area may experience temporary traffic disruptions and access changes while construction is underway. We appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation as this important work is completed.

This project is funded through the Build Communities Strong Fund – Community Stream (BCSF-CS) with support from the Government of Canada and the Government of Prince Edward Island.

The Town of Tignish will provide updates as the project progresses.
